RoboCup

League: Small-Size

Brief Description
Robot Soccer is played between two teams of no more than 5 robots on each team. Unlike UTRA's other autonomous robots, Robot Soccer allows off-board computing. Therefore, each robot communicates with a central computer and the central computer dictates the movements of each robot. The robots are still autonomous, as no human intervention is allowed. The central computer receives images from a camera above the playing field. Computer vision algorithms are used to determine the location of all the robots and the soccer ball.
